How long does AdBlue last?

What is AdBlue?
In short, it’s used to help diesel cars reduce their impact on the environment. It’s a liquid substance that is a mixture of urea and deionized water. How long does AdBlue last for?

This means that most drivers will need to top up every 3,000 to 12,000 miles – depending on the size of this tank. In general terms, most diesel cars will need topping up on this liquid at least once between services. Luckily, your vehicle should warn you when the tank is running low via the relevant dashboard warning light.
What happens if I run out of AdBlue?
Many people who drive diesel cars wonder what would happen if this occurred whilst on the road. To begin with, the performance of your car would be reduced to limit the emissions it produces. If the AdBlue tank is empty, you would not be able to restart your car once you stop.
